NetLedger

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 July 2026

Netledger is operated by Appforgelabs LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Netledger, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Questions go to hello@appforgelabs.com.

1. What we collect

  • Account data: your email address, name, and avatar, provided by Google when you sign in with Google.
  • Business data you enter: the accounting records you create in Netledger (chart of accounts, journal entries, customers, vendors, invoices, bills, inventory items, and reports). This is your data; we process it only to run the service for you.
  • Billing data: handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer id, subscription status, and billing period. We never see or store your card number.
  • Usage data: anonymous, cookie-less analytics (page views and referrers) via a self-hosted Umami instance. No cross-site tracking, no advertising identifiers.
  • Operational logs: standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, request path) kept for security and debugging.

2. How we use it

To provide and secure the service, authenticate you, process your subscription payment, enforce plan limits, and send transactional email (for example a welcome message or a billing notice). We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. We share data only with the processors listed below, strictly to operate Netledger.

3. Processors

We use the following third parties to run the service:

  • Google — sign-in / authentication.
  • Stripe — subscription payments and billing.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Hetzner — application and database hosting, in a data center in Finland (EU).
  • Cloudflare — network routing, TLS, and DDoS protection for traffic to the service.

4. Where your data is stored

Your account and business data are stored on servers hosted by Hetzner in Finland, within the European Union. Payment data is held by Stripe under their own infrastructure and privacy terms.

5. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in and a CSRF token cookie to protect form submissions. Both are strictly necessary for the service to function. We set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account from the settings page permanently removes your account and business data from our database and cancels any active subscription. Encrypted off-site backups are retained on a rolling basis and are overwritten in the ordinary backup cycle. To request an export of your data, email us at the address below.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date. This page's URL will remain stable.
